World War II History- February 22, 1943, Sophie Scholl, her brother Hans and their friend Christoph Probst, members of The White Rose non-violent Nazi resistence movement, were all convicted of high treason after having been found distributing anti-war leaflets at the University of Munich.
As a result, they were all executed by guillotine.
