Cold War History- The "Warsaw Pact" was was signed in Poland by eight communist bloc countries including the Soviet Union on 14 May 1955. .
The Warsaw Pact was a mutual defense treaty between eight communist states of Eastern Europe in existence during the Cold War, under the initiative of the Soviet Union (1955-1991).
