Satire and Humor- On 17 July 1929, Douglas Corrigan misread the compass on his plane after leaving Brooklyn and ended up in Dublin, Ireland instead of Los Angeles, California. From that time on his nickname was 'Wrong Way Corrigan'. / 17 July is "Wrong Way Day"
