August 10, 1927…Near Keystone, South Dakota, Mount Rushmore was formally dedicated. Eventually facial likenesses sculptured in rock of four revered U.S. presidents – George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln – were dedicated individually at the site.
