Silly Putty has been around for 50 years and has become an American toy classic. From its introduction to the world in 1950, kids have had lots of fun playing with Silly Putty! I remember I really liked to copy comics from the Sunday paper onto it and then have fun S-T-R-E-T-C-H-I-N-G them!!!

Silly Putty® was created by accident in 1943 by an engineer trying to create a synthetic rubber.
